What War on Christmas?

Every year about this time there seems to be a ‘War on Christmas’ for Bill O’Reily.  He’ll fill viewer’s heads with obscure stories about a town that is not allowed to display Christmas’ scenes.  He’ll also report about a huge department store that advises their employees to use happy holidays greeting instead of the usual Merry Christmas’ one. Bill’s expert staffers (as he calls them) will keep a sharp eye on the White House looking for another reason to dub them the opponent in the so –called ‘War on Christmas.’

The blame is usually placed on the secular liberals who don’t want any Christmas display on public property.  That myth has been around for longtime.

Bill O’Reilly is not a serious journalist; he’s an opportunist who carved out this niche for himself.  His followers are already angry because their political beliefs are not resonating with most Americans, so anything less than 100% of participation in promoting Christmas’ becomes a war.

I’m going to continue to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as a matter of habit and not just because it may or may not be politically correct.  I think most people feel this way, but I do know some bitter people who seem to fall for any conspiracy such as the ‘War on Christmas.’

Fox lead it last year with their "Happy Holiday" Party.

The new meme going around Facebook is: Instead of trying to put Christ back in Christmas, why not try putting Christ back in Christian.

My sentiments exactly.

Off to the Victoria Democrats Christmas Party and Hors d'oeuvre Eating Extravaganza. Catch up later.

Go to your party and be on the lookout for James O'Keefe like characters reporting War on Christmas incidences to Bill O'Reilly. ..:-)

Did you hear about the RWer in NY who said Obamacare would not insure his 2yr old son.?...Fox News ran it ,John Boehner got upset but truth is ,the father didn't list his son on the application.

You know, if FOX news reported that today is Thursday, December 5, 2013, I'd double check three sources to make sure they were correct!

I am still thinking I need to go back to school and study sociology and then do a study on the fascination with FOX news and websites who clearly report bogus news, i.e., stuff that is easily debunked.

And Fox wondered why the MSM never picked up the story...The ACA has been around for nearly 3 years and if 2 years were excluded from coverage that would have been a story a long time ago.

This is the 3rd bogus story about ACA Fox has run that I know of but I'm sure there are plenty more.

I wonder what the FB meme would have been if President Obama had said Pope Francis was promoting Marxist's views?

Which is why Media Reform is needed and Fairness Doctrine reinstated.

Talk about an opportunist,Rick Santorum said "Nelson Mandela Fought 'Great Injustice,' Just Like Republicans Are Battling Obamacare.

Repealing ACA 47 times and shutting down the government does dot equate to serving 27 years in prison and bringing a country together....Have they no shame?

Check out Ted Cruz's FB page---his supporters are on the verge of total meltdown over Cruz's praise of Mandela. They have called Mandela ever bad name in the book!

No, they have no shame. Any of them!

They also went after John Boehner and Eric Cantor and any other republican who praised Nelson Mandela.

Right now the GOP are taking classes to teach them "how to talk to women"...You can't make up this stuff up.
