Virginia Tech shooter - Registered Democrat - Wrote hate mail to President Bush and to his staff.
Colorado Theater shooter - Registered Democrat; staff worker on the Obama campaign; Occupy Wall Street participant; progressive liberal.
Connecticut School Shooter - Registered Democrat; hated Christians.
Congresswoman Gabby Giffords’ shooter – Leftist, registered Democrat.
All of these shooters were progressive Democrats!

It must give Caphenry comfort knowing that whatever self-righteous group he belongs to is always right. He must have low self-esteem if he has to make things up.IMO
I don’t know how the media classifies left or right wing extremists but I can guarantee they are not regular card carrying Republicans or Democrats who vote on the issues of the day. These deranged individuals or groups don’t know the meaning of democracy and most are disturbed people. They are fixated on their agenda and violence.
I gather Caphenry classifies the media as being a mass communication network other than Fox News, talk radio or conservative blogs. I have my issues with the so-called mainstream media. Yesterday, CNN reported that the FBI had caught the suspect of the Boston explosions and then they described with certainty that it was a dark-skinned man. Obviously, it was not true but Fox News repeated the lie without doing any fact checking.
I have the utmost confidence that the FBI will catch the people who bombed the Boston Marathon, but we need to be patience and not get carried away with our TV CSI expectations. I’m one of those who embraces my civil liberties, but I know we are dealing with sophisticated terrorists, so I no longer mind a camera on every street corner. My expectation of privacy diminishes as soon as I leave my front door.
I was disappointed but not surprised that the Senate did not pass the background check. Contrary to what some people think we've had a background check for 17 years and will continue having them.. This legislation was extending it to internet sales,gun shows and private sales. I think Senator Rand Paul went beyond the line when he said that the president used the Sandy Hook parents as props, but I'm glad that the president chastised him from the bully pulpit. This issue is not over, but the first round was won by the NRA and those who fear them.
