Trent Franks' (R-Ariz.) proposed D.C. abortion bill to apply to the whole country and advanced the bill favorably to the full committee. The bill would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy in the United States in all cases except those in which the mother's life is in danger.

All four Democrats on the panel voted against advancing the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, arguing that it is unconstitutional and allows no exceptions for rape victims, incest victims, women whose health is endangered by a pregnancy, and cases of severe fetal anomalies. The 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe vs. Wade protects women's ability to have an abortion up until the fetus is viable outside the womb, which is usually believed to occur around the 24th week of pregnancy."

June 4,2013 Huffington PostMikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02668070524354374505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1674561724432497133.post-51885623473094202132013-06-04T13:32:56.728-05:002013-06-04T13:32:56.728-05:00Wasting the people's time and money is what th...Wasting the people's time and money is what the so-called conservative party is all about...Two examples just today.

1. Senator Marco Rubio introduced a constitutional amendment aimed at invalidating the individual mandate to buy health insurance under Obamacare....[ that will take a 2/3 majority in both chambers and a likely presidential veto. The states can have constitutional. If by some miracle (since God talks to them) the amendment passes it would have to be ratified by 2/3 of the states.

2. Gov. Chris Christi made a great political move today by calling for a primary in August to fill the late Sen.Lautenberg's seat and hold the general election in October this year. That will cost the NJ taxpayers $12 million....He calims he had no choice, but I think he didn't want Mayor Cory Booker's name on the same as his when he runs for reelection. Christi will win the governor's race but he has to win by a huge amount to be presidential material..Having Cory Booker on the same ticket in 2014 will pull black votes away from Christi...He'll probably pick a moderate Republican to fill the seat for now...How about Christine Todd Whitman?
